Bedrock Ranked Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026.
This policy describes information handled by the Bedrock Ranked Android and Windows clients and the bedrockranked.com service. The developer and publisher is Bedrock Ranked. For privacy questions or requests, contact maehy56@gmail.com.
Information we handle and why
- Account information: your chosen name, account identifier, password and recovery credential hashes, authentication sessions and, if you choose to link Discord, your Discord account identifier and associated profile information. We use these to provide sign-in, account linking and account security.
- Gameplay information: matchmaking activity, match identifiers, seed and mode, progress, results, ratings, gameplay recordings and integrity evidence. These provide ranked play, statistics, replays, dispute resolution and protection against cheating. Recorded in-game positions are game coordinates, not real-world location.
- Communications: match chat, reports and support messages, used for communication, assistance and moderation.
- Technical information: client and game versions, file-integrity information, operational errors and diagnostic logs. Our servers and hosting infrastructure receive your IP address when you connect. These support operation, troubleshooting, security and abuse prevention. Logs you export and send to support may contain account, device and gameplay information.
- Local files: the clients access supported Minecraft installation files and create or access local settings, worlds, replays and logs to run the game and provide client features. These files are not all uploaded; online match recordings and integrity information are transmitted as part of online Ranked play.
- Android settings backup: while signed in, the Android client saves Minecraft display, audio, accessibility and control preferences to your Ranked account so they can be restored after reinstalling. This backup excludes Minecraft account credentials and device identifiers. It is private to your account and remains until replaced or deleted with your account data.
Visibility and recipients
Your player name, ratings and match results can appear publicly in profiles, leaderboards and match history. Other match participants receive gameplay status and chat. Replays and report evidence may be available through the service to participants, authorized viewers and moderators, depending on the feature and their access permissions.
Information is processed by the infrastructure providers needed to host and operate the service. Optional Discord linking involves Discord. External support links open the relevant provider's service. Minecraft and Microsoft/Mojang components loaded by the client may communicate with their own services under their own privacy terms; this policy does not replace those terms. See Microsoft's privacy statement and Discord's privacy policy.
Retention
Server gameplay recordings normally expire seven days after a match ends. Ranked recordings can be retained for 30 days when a participant's trust score is below 80. For trust scores below 50, the current system has no automatic recording expiry. Recordings associated with open reports are excluded from normal automatic expiry. These exceptions support moderation and dispute investigation.
Match chat is normally removed after seven days. Account records, compact match history, ratings and moderation records can remain after recordings expire. There is no single automatic expiry for all account, security, support or infrastructure records. Local worlds, recordings and exported files remain on your device until removed; uninstalling may leave exported files behind.
Your choices and deletion requests
Discord linking and saving local replays are optional. Disabling local replay saving does not disable server recording of online matches.
You can request access, correction, account deletion or deletion of associated personal data by emailing maehy56@gmail.com. Include your Ranked player name or identifier and describe your request. Do not send passwords, session tokens or recovery credentials. We verify ownership before acting. Requests are handled manually, not by an automatic deletion button.
Some shared match history may need to be anonymized rather than removed. Records necessary for unresolved disputes, fraud prevention, security or applicable legal obligations may require continued retention; we will explain applicable exceptions when handling your request. Deleting local files or uninstalling the client does not itself delete your server account.
Security and age
The production service uses HTTPS for connections to Bedrock Ranked. Password and recovery credentials are stored as hashes, and access controls restrict account and moderation functions. No system can guarantee complete security.
Bedrock Ranked is intended for people aged 13 and over. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and handle removal as appropriate.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy when service behavior changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. Direct privacy questions and requests to maehy56@gmail.com.
